Program Director — Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic

This person shall be a qualified mental health professional (graduate degree in social work, counseling or psychology) with at least 2 years of supervisory experience or a professional administrator with a graduate degree in administration and 2 years of experience.  The duties shall include: direction, administration and supervision of the clinic; development or implementation of the policies and procedures for the operation of the clinic; regular meetings of staff to discuss plans, policy, procedures and staff training; liaison with other portions of the service system; administrative supervision of personnel; employment & supervision; supervision of staff training and development.

 

Assistant Director — Partial Hospitalization Program

This person shall be a qualified mental health professional with experience working with school aged children (graduate degree in social work, counseling or psychology).  The Assistant Director will work under the general direction of the Program Director and Psychiatrist.  Job duties include assisting the director in administration and supervision of the program, as well as working with schools, managed care organizations, other treatment providers and social service agencies to coordinate care and services for the clients and families.  Clinical duties include individual and group therapy.  Time management and good communication skills are a must.

 

Behavioral Specialist/Mobile Therapist — Bedford County

Immediate full or part-time positions available in Bedford County to provide consultation, individual & family therapy in the community, home, & school. Masters Degree in a clinical field, at least one year of documented clinical experience preferred. 

 

Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic— Somerset & Bedford Counties

Somerset & Bedford clinics are seeking full and part-time therapists to provide counseling at outpatient sites and schools.  Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field required; experience a plus.  Licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors preferred.

 

Family Preservation Services Worker — Ebensburg Area

Family Preservation Services (FPS) is seeking staff for the Ebensburg Area.  Job requirements would require a Masters or Bachelors Degree in a related service field and one year experience providing direct services to children and their families in a social service related field. 

 

Therapeutic Staff Support— Ebensburg Area

One-on-one work with children & adolescents diagnosed with mental health disorders.  Bachelor’s degree required or an Associates degree in a Human Service field with 3 years of paid child care experience.

 

Special or Regular Education Teacher—Rockwood Area

Seeking a full-time PA certified special or regular education teacher to work in a alternative education setting in Somerset County.

 

Americorps Position— Rockwood Area

Full-time person to provide supervision of students, one-on-one instruction, implement behavior management system, and other duties.

Certified Peer Specialist

A Certified Peer Specialist is a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is a self-identified consumer of mental health services with the following qualifications: 1) A high school diploma or GED; 2) Within the last three (3) years, have at least 12 months of full or part-time work experience in a paid or volunteer setting or obtained 24 credit hours of post-secondary education; 3) Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and own reliable transportation; 4) Will be expected to complete an 80 hour peer specialist certification training.   

 

A Certified Peer Specialist provides 1:1 recovery oriented services for adults 18 and over with serious mental illness to help them achieve recovery and community integration.  Services are provided in the consumers’ homes and communities and can include: advocacy, education, development of natural supports, support of work or other meaningful activity of the person’s choosing, crisis support, and wellness activities, effective utilization of the service delivery system, and service coordination and linkage to other service providers.  The ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships is essential to effective CPS performance.
